Multiple punching machines driven by electric motors. Solutions with force ranges 150kN and 250kN. The control of the electric motors via frequency converters with 15KW and 22kW power. With the units shown here 6 holes are punched in a 2,6mm sheet metal or in a 3mm sheet metal as an example. In order to reduce the punctual force required, the holes are punched in the sheet in 3 punching steps.

This makes it perfect for applications with variable components thickness. The component is always securely clamped with a defined clamping force. Thanks to the parallel clamping stroke, the clamping plane can be flexibly designed. Furthermore, the parallel lowering of the arm prevents any component distortion during clamping. C Module Nut Welding Unit

The standard C-frame-projection-welder is the product out of units taken from Tünkers forming modular system and elements of welding and feeding technology from NIMAK. The result is a slim and clean design, focused on best accessibility to all units, as well as maximum adaptability to customer needs and applications. The aim to achieve a good price-performance ratio by using standard components without reduction of performance and flexibility got highly realized. By using the new NIMAK nut-feeding-system we have come one step closer to the goal “All from a single source”. The lower-electrode with the integrated new NIMAK nut-detection enables an effective and simple process-monitoring to reduce missing parts through out production.

The Geoskid - eccentric lifter is used in automotive plants in the building shell in order to deposit car bodies vertically during transport within the production lines. Typical applications are the depositing of the car body on cross conveyor belts, or the so-called floor clamping technology at work stations where robots carry out their welding process after depositing. The vertical stroke which the Geoskid eccentric lifter performs when depositing is usually comparatively short and lies between 80 and 200 mm. The lifters have eccentrically positioned pins that perform a circular motion when the shaft rotates. The vertical movement contained in the eccentric movement is used to move the roller conveyor up and down. The horizontal infeed and outfeed to the Geoskid eccentric lifter is realised by the support rollers of the overlying roller conveyor.

The new series of the MZR 100 BR2 multi-force cylinder comes in a slim housing and still includes the power stroke of up to 4t. Among other things, it is used for forming, as the force amplification of factor 10 means that the pressure consumption and dimensions are very low at high force. As an option, a locking device offers additional safety in order to hold the component safely in the end position even in case of pressure failure.

The EGS electric swivel arm, alternatively available with servo or conventional three-phase drives, is used in automation to position heavy loads such as complete clamping assemblies, fixture elements or welding guns. In contrast to the pneumatic series, they have a much more favorable motion behavior with controlled starting and braking behavior and greater flexibility in adjusting the swivel angles. With the integrated globoidal gear, high load torques can thus be positioned without play and, thanks to the redundant safety brakes, the load can be held safely even in the event of a power failure.

C frame clinching

Presentation of drive technology for C-frame in forming technology. You see C-frame for nut punching against a C-frame for clinching. Both C-frame driven by a 6 t servo-electric drive. One with a driven nut, the other with a driven spindle. 6t are required for the joining connection so that one can assume a secure connection. The C-frames go through an FEM analysis. This supports the movement and weight-optimized design. The C-frames are supplied with process monitoring. Controllable via power supply or strain gauge or redundant.

cubeGUN

Our aim is to develop a very compact, small, lightweight basic body in which all essential components for a mobile spot welding device - a robot welding gun - can be integrated. The main element of the cubeGUN is this monolithic basic body for C- as well as X-guns, the so-called CUBE. The cube weighs only 13 kg and is the basis for all cubeGUN models. In this aluminum cube the power source, drive components, lead as well as cooling will be integrated. Separate housings for e.g. transformer or spindle drive are not be required. The advantages are reduction of weight and space as well as prevention of unnecessary interference.

In this video, NIMAK presents innovative dosing technology: the SmartDosing+ system.

The principle of this dosing system is based on a completely new designed barrel-pump-concept. This design only has electrical drive units as engines. In conjunction with a specific software controller which we have developed for this system and the adjustable electrical application head, NIMAK is able to do applications where the current state of the art process will use a servo-driven volume doser. Regarding the double possibility to control the process (adjustable adhesive beads not only by pressure control but also by regulating the material flow), NIMAK can confirm 80% of the requirements to a classic dosing system.After consideration of the acquisition and maintenance cost, you can see the big advantage of the SmartDosing+ system.This not only saves the investment costs for a doser by reducing the acquisition costs, but also by downsizing the robot. The application head of the SmartDosing system weighs no more than 5kg, and you can use it on a 20kg robot as well on a 10kg robot (if the material hose packet is guidedvery well). In the context of spare parts, you can reduce your storage costs not only by saving a doser, but also by reducing variation of pumps and application head because all pump stands are usable with a classic dosing system. One more benefit is to save air pressure. Due to the electrical pump stand, the SmartDosing system doesn ́t need air pressure for the cylinder of the pump. Even now with a view of the carbon footprint, the SmartDosing system can help you to reach your target.

aluminum welding gun with magneticDRIVE technology

NIMAK has been using magneticDRIVE technology in robot welding guns for some time now. In addition to the known advantages, such as quickly retractable force and current profiles and the associated process monitoring, there is another big plus here in the area of aluminum welding. These welding guns do not require any external compensation via a robot. Both sheet metal touching electrode arms of the gun work in a force control loop. The magnet works on the so-called “fixed” arm of the guns, a servomotor works on the “movable” arm. Since both have force sensors, an equilibrium of forces is always maintained at the welding spot. The whole system works in a range of highest welding currents up to 70kA, which generates an enormous magnetic field. This balance of forces ensures almost no sliding or unwanted axial movements of the tips. In this way, a significantly longer service life of the electrode tips can be achieved. In addition, this also has a positive effect on a more even lens growth of the ALU spot.

Innovations in transporting & rotary technology

Level-Lifter This automation module brings car bodys or other parts from one level to the next, and transfers the skid from the welding line to the production level using our roller conveyor to the buffer systems, which are usually located on the second floor. This model is for a nominal load of up to 2000 kg and a maximum stroke of 12m, with a position accuracy of + - 1 mm. Of course, other weight classes and strokes are possible on request. Customer requests and specifications are also always implemented. Security plays a very important role for us and we have at least 4 redundant security systems.

TÜNKERS | C-frame punching unit with electric drive

With the TÜNKERS CBEZ 250-400-250S T02, 5 holes are punched in one working stroke. The video shows a C-frame with 400 mm reach and 250 mm stroke, manufactured according to customer specifications. The power of the servo-electric motor is transmitted to the piston rod by means of a roller screw drive.
The speed of the motor can be adjusted via the frequency converter to generate an individual power stroke.

Welding gun configurator

With the new welding gun configurator, our customers now have the possibility to download a variety of gun models directly from our NIMAK website. Thanks to the clever functionality of the configurator, NIMAK customers are now able to assemble their individual welding tool very quickly and in just a few simple steps. After completing the configuration, the user receives a download link for the appropriate 3D model in STEP format. The advantages are: many different gun designs available online - no more waiting for the gun data to be created, reduction of change loops, the models are available online at any time and from any place. This results in a high savings potential in time and costs for the NIMAK customer.

Robot welding gun multiframeGUN and ntcGUN as well as C-Module In this video the company NIMAK presents innovative resistance welding technology: the robot welding gun multiframeGUN, the innovative new development ntcGUN, a NIMAK manual welding gun and the C-frame from HERU. The principle of the multiframeGUN welding gun is based on a single base plate, from which all C- and X-frames can be built. In connection with only five modules, an infinite number of basic body variants can be created. The advantage for NIMAK is that even larger projects can be pre-picked without knowing the exact gun design. For customers, this has the advantage that they can significantly reduce their spare parts requirements because this robot welding gun has an extremely high number of identical parts. And if a component of the gungs should fail, it can be repaired directly on the robot within max. 20 minutes, without having to disassemble the guns again and take them to the maintenance department.

Pneumatic magnetic gripper which turns two permanent magnets towards each other by means of a specially constructed rotary drive so that the magnetic field is directed towards the component and thus securely clamps it. Movable cutting unit for cutting flaps on body side TÜNKERS modular C-frame with customized tools. An approx. 300mm length free formed tab is cut off in the side panel of a car body. The pneumohydraulic drive allows an extended power stroke of up to 12mm with this and a slanted cutting edge on the tools we are able to reduce the required amount of force for this applciation. The difficulty with this project was the limited installation space, as these units had to be integrated into an existing line. The cut-off material get disposed via a pneumatically driven slug pusher, which guides the material out of the punching environment in a process-safe manner. Multiple hole piercing machine The electrically driven multiple hole piercing machine can be individually adapted to customer requirements. In this example 4 holes are pierced in up to 3mm sheet metal in one stroke. The use of the electric motor offers several advantages, such as energy efficiency compared to previously used hydraulic drives and the possibility of detailed screening of the piercing process. Modular hybrid punch drive Here, a completely new punching concept is created by a symbiosis of EKS (electric swivel arm) and the standard modular system from the forming technology. The toggle lever mechanism converts the rotary movement of the EKS into a translatory movement, which is then used here for a piercing application.

The first joint new development from NIMAK & TÜNKERS. Hence the name: NIMAK, TÜNKER COMPACT GUN. This gun was specially designed for the world market. It is particularly compact, light and can be equipped with a large number of servo motors and various types of transformers. This means that it can be operated as a 7th-axis gun on almost all common robot types in the world. However, it is of course equipped with the NIMAK medium-frequency transformer and the NIMAK drive as standard. This is the ideal gun for the supplier market, who wants to buy cost-consciously, but does not want to do without quality Made in Germany. The actual focus, however, is on the world market and therefore the ntcGUN is manufactured in the most important export markets directly on site in the own TÜNKERS branches. This gives the client the chance to achieve the respective local content.
