4.- The wines: Los Carismáticos

[Buy the wine](https://tienda.cvne.com/en/products/350-los-carismaticos.html). Los Carismáticos recovers a wine and a reviled variety, the merenzao, a wine that the elders tell you about as the tastiest; and the one they used to select to make at home for their own consumption. Unlike the rest of the red wines of the region, it is more delicate, with little extraction and intervention, especially when the fruit is cut on the vine, as it evolves very quickly, losing its freshness and aromas. The name of the wine (and with which we christened the vineyard) is a tribute to the religious order of the sanctuary at the As Ermitas village. The sanctuary and church have a historical influence in both the region and the vineyards of the village and are visible from nearly all over our vineyard. 5.- As Ermitas: An old wine winery

At the beginning of the plot there is an old winery (classified as an Asset of Cultural Interest) which we are restoring in order to produce wine there in the near future.

1.- As Ermitas: Grapes

Mencia, garnacha tintorera, brancellao, sousón and merenzao. In 2020 and 2021, terraces have been rehabilitated and the native varieties of the area, such as godello, treixadura and merenzao, have been replanted.

7.- As Ermitas: Terraces

More than a dozen hundred-year-old stone terraces and hand-built granite walls.

6. A Ermitas (Santuary)

The Santuario de As Ermitas was built in the 17th century in honour of  the Virgin de As Ermitas. Stories are told that the cattle that passed by the cave, where the sanctuary is located today, were healed without any apparent reason. When they entered the cave to explore it, they found a figure of the Virgin with the Child in her arms. For this reason they decide to build the santuary. It is considered one of the first "marianos santuarios" in Galicia, together with Muxía. Since then, the Virgin has had great devotion in Ourense due to the fame she maintaisn of "milagreira".

2.- As Ermitas: Soil

The richness of the area is due to its granite, decomposed and sandy soils. The orography of the area only allows the land to be worked by hand or with animals.
