The Montforthaus is both a concert hall and a lecture hall, equipped with the latest sound engineering ensuring excellent acoustic properties. Our own Steinway D-274 concert grand brings a golden sound into the hall.

Altstadtfoyer

The Altstadtfoyer, or historic city foyer, is a spacious divisible function room and lobby to the big hall. Its colour scheme of bronze is quite captivating, and it can be used for many different purposes.

As an extension of the big hall for receptions, on festive occasions, as a space for people to go during intermission, or as individually separable rooms for breakout sessions – you will always feel welcome here.

The Altstadtfoyer is equipped with state-of-the-art technology: big screen, meeting room and media technology, sound system, dimmable ceiling lighting to be controlled via touch panel from daylight white to warm white.

The Montforthaus underground car park has 75 public parking places including specially marked loading stations, as well as parking suitable for persons with disabilities. 30 bicycle stands are available in the underground car park of the Montforthaus, and e-bike loading stations are available in front of the Montforthaus.

Using modular partitions, the room layout is quite flexible: either two separately used rooms or open towards the gallery of the Großer Saal.
On 236 m², 234 people can be seated in the Kleiner Saal if seats are arranged in rows. The minor hall is the ideal room for meetings and seminars; additional platform elements can be installed for concerts or theatre performances. The highlights of the modern event technology are a separate director’s window for the external control of meeting room and media technology, as well as suspension points for mobile show lighting.
