SCAMOZZI CAPITAL

IGINIO KOFLER

Iginio Kofler (Adria 1987-1983) was an Italian entrepreneur, footballer and sports manager.
In 1955 he bought Villa Molin and, with broad-mindedness and long and expensive works, restored it to its original beauty, bringing to light the original frescoes in the hall.
Always a lover of sport, from 1948 he was president of the reborn tennis club of Padua and in 1962 he founded the first golf club of Padua in Galzignano.
In the park of the villa he created 3 golf holes in what was once the orchard, a tennis court and a bowling alley which still exists at the side of the grove.
Founder of the talcum powder and soap company of the same name, he links his name to many artists and illustrators who he calls upon to design the posters for his products.
In Villa we keep a small collection of barber calendars made between 1930 and 1940 with splendid female illustrations each year with different inspiration and graphics that the company gave to customers

DOGARESSA

DOGARESSA

"Morosina Morosini (1545 – Venice, 21 January 1614) was dogaressa of the Serenissima Republic of Venice from 1595 to 1605 as consort of the doge Marino Grimani. She enjoyed great family financial resources and is remembered above all for her coronation ceremony, which took place in 1597, the most solemn of all the coronations of the dogaresses. Her daughter Maria married Nicolò Molin, owner of the villa."

LIST HEAD

"The Capodilistas are a very ancient family made noble by Charlemagne in 775. Lords of Mandria, they are one of the most powerful families of the time in Padua. They bought the villa upon the death of Nicolò Molin and then left it to the Conti family in the late 1600s. They bought it back in 1772 and we owe them the stucco decoration of the rooms on the first floor. Their coat of arms, which you will also find on the ceiling of the first floor, represents a red rampant deer with a rose leaf between its teeth."
