Chiesa dell'Assunzione della Vergine Maria
The church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary of Dozza, called in Piscina, is mentioned for the first time in 1141. In 1350 it was given to the Humiliati who withdrew before the suppression of their order in 1556, since then it has been governed by secular priests. It has undergone several modifications, but still retains architectural features from the 13th century. Above the door of the facade is carved the Blessed Virgin of the Assumption. On the side walls you can see Romanesque friezes that indicate the primitive construction and that demonstrate how its current width corresponds to the original one. Since 1942 it has undergone a renovation that takes up the 15th century forms of the building. Valuable works are: the 16th century baptismal font, a bas-relief lunette with the Madonna from the Romanesque period, the panel depicting the Madonna with Baby Jesus on the throne, Saint John the Baptist and Saint Margaret by Marco Palmezzano dated 1492, the altarpiece depicting the Assumption attributed to Tiburzio Passerotti.
La rocca di Dozza
The Rocca di Dozza, also known as the Rocca Sforzesca di Dozza, is a complex building with a centuries-old history, which since its construction, around the middle of the 13th century, has undergone numerous expansion and functional adaptation interventions, attributable to three main phases, still clearly visible within the museum's visit route. The Rocca was inhabited until 1960, the year in which it was sold to the Municipality of Dozza, which opened it to the public as a house-museum. The Rocca museum is managed by the Dozza Città d'Arte Foundation and since 2006 has been recognized as a "Quality Museum" by the Emilia-Romagna Region, Institute for Artistic, Cultural and Natural Heritage.

The history of the Bassi cellar
The Painted CellarA place where art and tradition come together in a single spaceHistory:The Painted Cellar was founded on the occasion of the 1989 Painted Wall Biennial, when Mario Bassi organized a dinner with a group of painters. After a chat and a few glasses of wine, they created the painting of Bacchus (on the left at the entrance).Over the years, the friendship between Mario Bassi and these painters grew stronger, and the occasions for them to spend time together became more frequent. After each dinner, the painters would leave a memento on the cellar walls as a token of gratitude for their friendship and the wonderful evenings spent together. Over the next ten years, most of the paintings currently on display were created. After the paintings were completed, Mario Bassi decided to add objects commonly used in rural Italy to the cellar, as well as personal mementos from his childhood. The cellar's walls house agricultural tools, objects from country life such as a loom and sieve, school supplies and toys from a 1930s Italian child, and small everyday objects such as an iron, corkscrew, and scales.Today:La Cantina Dipinta is currently maintained by Riccardo Bassi (son of Mario Bassi) to pass on emotions and traditions both to the generations who lived through the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, and to the younger generations who did not experience those years firsthand. Through La Cantina Dipinta, they can discover a world completely different from today's.
