In the heart of our woodland, kissed by dappled sunlight, there is a tranquil meadow where your legal ceremony takes place. Up to 90 of your loved ones can be seated to witness your marriage in this natural sanctuary. Choose to be married legally by Cheshire East Registrars or by a celebrant.
For guests who find the woodland path a little too adventurous, we’ll chauffeur them in our 4 x 4. Nobody will miss the magic.

A Family-Run Wedding Venue, Made with Love
Roy always dreamt of creating a beautiful wedding venue at his family farm. Emma realised it would be a huge undertaking – and a massive responsibility – but her faith in Roy, and their shared work ethic meant she was fully on board. Work began in 2016 to enhance the farm’s many original features and bring to life the perfect wedding venue.
Four years of long, long days, nights and sheer hard graft followed. Roy and his dad worked tirelessly until the entire place was reimagined and reinvented. Even before the tipis were erected or the log store became the bar, Emma saw just how amazing Parkgate weddings would be. She was able to share that vision with prospective couples who, too, could feel the magic. Such was the couples’ faith in Emma and Roy that enquiries flooded in – and bookings followed. The first Parkgate Wedding was in June 2021 and proved everything. Parkgate Farm IS the perfect countryside wedding venue.

The Tipis
Our two giant hat tipis can host to 110 seated daytime guests and a total of 150 standing evening guests. Fully furnished with coconut matted flooring, a large dancefloor with disco ball, an in-house sound system, rustic wooden tables and handmade benches. A comfy chill out area is included with a luxurious leather Chesterfield suite. Decorated with fairy lights, ambient lighting, hanging garlands, LOVE letters, lanterns, milk churns, barrels, flowers, trees and foliage the tipis have a warm, charming, rustic feel. You’re free to dress the space in your own vision – theme it, personalise it, make it yours.
The Bar
Following your ceremony you will make your way back to the tipis, meadow and bar area via the woodland path and over the handbuilt wooden bridge. The party begins with hugs, kisses and congratulations as we pour you and your guests a welcome drink. The rustic ‘Woodshed Bar’ is fully staffed and fully loaded with all local draught beer, cider, fine wine, crisp prosecco, shots, spirits and cocktails! We can work with you to supply drinks tokens or you can put money behind the bar if you want your guests to have drinks on you. The stone walls, pergola and plants in the ‘old ruin’ have a Mediterranean vibe whilst the fire pit and festoon lighting create the perfect evening ambiance.
The Entertainment
The large meadow around the tipis is fully enclosed, safe for children and perfect for entertaining your guests. We can supply a great selection of lawn games, a bouncy castle, toys and haybales around the firepit. You may want to hire other entertainment, we have had photobooths, crazy golf, magicians and festival glitter stations. A favourite with our couples is the Parkgate Grand National hobby horse race or for a full day of fun the Parkgate Olympics will entertain guests of all ages! The possibilities are endless and we will help you make your wedding day dreams become a reality!
The Party
After your Golden Hour photos, its time to party! Live music is always extremely popular, especially a singer, guitarist or saxophonist playing outside at the bar area in the afternoon during your drinks reception to get everyone in the party mood! For the evening our very own resident Band A Hundred Endings are guaranteed to have your guests dancing the night away with their huge repertoire of popular songs, or you may wish to hire a DJ, or both, the choice is yours!
