Azimut 58 Flybridge
The History of Azimut
The Azimut 58 Flybridge builds on the success of a previous 58 model launched in the mid-1990s, completely revamping the design for more spacious dimensions, updated styling and more powerful operation. The most significant change on first inspection is a larger flybridge with glazed aft wings enclosing tender storage that can also be used as a sunpad. On the starboard side of the deck is a U-shaped leather settee that connects to a cocoon-style forward sunpad, while to port is a teak-topped L-shaped wet bar with icemaker and grill, as well as an upper helm station. Azimut Yachts also installed a three-cushion sunpad on the foredeck and designed a partially sheltered aft deck aft with ample space for alfresco dining, an aft sofa and side steps leading to a hydraulic swim platform. The internal cockpit benefits from new wave-crested side windows, a design element that has become something of an Azimut signature on later vessels. The Carlo Galeazzi-designed interior features pickled oak walls and cabinetry, bronze-effect fiberglass moldings, Italian leather trim, stainless steel fixtures and fine soft furnishings for a feel that is both opulent and understated. There’s an R-shaped settee to port and a loveseat to starboard in the aft saloon, and a step or two up takes you to the galley and dining area. Here you’ll find a U-shaped dining sofa surrounding an oak breakfast table just across from the walk-in galley with Miele appliances and granite countertops. A centrally positioned helm station offers good visibility through the raked windshields and is equipped with a brown leather helm seat, Raymarine electronics, a Bosch Rexroth joystick, bow and stern thruster controls and power steering.
